8. Birth of the Kallang Roar

The old National Stadium had hosted a plethora of events - football matches, National Day Parades, Southeast Asian Games and concerts, just to name a few. What made the old National Stadium close to Singaporeans' hearts were the intimidating Kallang Roar and the exciting Kallang Wave. These traditions continue at the new National Stadium.
