13. Courting Glory

The OCBC Arena provides multi-purpose halls for badminton, table tennis, basketball, volleyball and netball enthusiasts. This has allowed for the further development and revival of several of these sports, such as Basketball. The Merlion Cup was first held in 1984 (original Merlion Cup trophy shown below) and played intermittently at different venues, discontinued in 1996 and revived by the Basketball Association of Singapore in 2016.
